My background as a registered nurse (20+ years) in both the US and Canada provides a unique "whole-person" lens. As a maternity, pediatric, and hospice nurse, I worked with individuals at every age, stage, and walk of life. I have a unique window into the joys and pains of new life and the despair of both the one departing and the loved ones left behind. Counseling support can be invaluable for helping you navigate transition, grief, loss, unexpected life events, and medical diagnoses.
Once you arrive for your first session we'll spend the better part of the session getting to know the "why" behind your visit. I tend to take a slow pace at the beginning preferring to get a better look at the whole person and not jump in to solutions too quickly. Towards the end of our first session we'll make sure we understand where you'd like to focus and set a path forward toward those goals and outcomes you're hoping for.
