About Annie
I’m Annie Petroshus, a counselor passionate about supporting your healing and self-discovery. If you’re looking to understand your story better by working through past trauma or exploring your family of origin, I can help. I believe in the brain’s potential for healing and change through curiosity and compassion. Our minds and bodies are remarkably resilient, and with the right support, growth is possible at any stage of life. If you’ve felt the need to hide difficult experiences, I offer a safe and confidential space with mercy and understanding to share your story.
Part of my role as a therapist is that of a guide and it’s a privilege to help bridge the gap between intellectual insight and the often-untapped richness of our emotional lives. Many of us are skilled at thinking about our feelings while remaining disconnected from actually experiencing them. I help clients learn how to recognize, name, and regulate emotions. This, in my experience, opens the door to a more full and authentic way of living.
For clients who want to bring their faith into therapy, I am specially trained to integrate spirituality with evidence-based practices, honoring both the clinical and the sacred dimensions of healing. I believe that true wellness comes from looking at all parts of life—spiritual, social, emotional, mental, and physical—to find a healthy, integrated way to live.
Whatever brings you here, my hope is that our work together helps you move toward the life you were meant to live.
