About Emily
Hi there! My name is Emily Carrera. I am passionate about empowering others to grow in engaging environments — whether that may be the play room, counseling office, or both. I delight in caring for children, adolescents, and adults throughout the lifespan. Wherever you are at I would love to meet you!
As your counselor it is my goal to create a place where you can be known and where you can grow in the context of safety. I seek to create an engaging counseling experience where you can learn more about yourself as we engage compassionately with your past, present, and future struggles. I am a big believer in progress over perfection, and I look forward to making progress together.
Prior to entering counseling I have years of experience in camp ministry, teaching at Mother’s Day Out, and even coaching group fitness. It brings me joy to walk alongside others across every life stage.
When I’m not working, I love to get outside and get moving! I enjoy weight lifting, weekend camping trips with my husband, and sunset walks with our chocolate lab. I believe our spiritual, mental, and physical health are all intimately connected, I would love to talk with you about any or all of these areas you may wish to grow in!
