About Me
Hello, I’m Kelley Ward. Whatever you are going through, you don’t have to face it alone.
I bring over 25 years of experience as a registered nurse to my work as a counselor, offering a unique and compassionate perspective shaped by years of caring for people in both physical and emotional distress. Counseling is a second career for me, but walking alongside others in their struggles has always been at the heart of what I do.
I enjoy working with individuals going through life transitions, couples, teens, college-aged young adults, and families. I have a special interest in supporting pregnant and postpartum women navigating perinatal mental health, engaged and married couples seeking stronger connection, and families working through communication challenges—especially between parents and teens.
My approach to therapy is integrative, drawing from family systems and strengths-based perspectives while incorporating evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Narrative Therapy. Together, we can identify and reshape unhelpful thought patterns, build practical coping and emotional regulation skills, and reframe personal stories in ways that support lasting growth and healing. Each counseling session is tailored to meet your unique needs and goals. For clients who desire it, I am also able to incorporate Christian or faith-based spirituality into the counseling process as a source of support and guidance.
