Hi, I'm Ali and I believe no one should face life’s challenges on their own. I aim to help you cultivate self-compassion, treating yourself with the same kindness you’d offer a dear friend.

My approach

My approach to counseling is grounded in collaboration and connection. So much of healing, I’ve found, happens in the presence of a safe, supportive connection. This is why I view the therapeutic relationship as an important part of our work together. I strive to create a space where you feel comfortable bringing your whole self, at your own pace, without pressure or judgment. You are the ultimate expert of your own life and you can expect our time together to fit your specific needs. I love helping you slow down and explore your emotions with curiosity and compassion. We catalog your internal strengths and your external support.

My sweet spot

I enjoy working with both adolescents and adults from all backgrounds, and I welcome the richness that different cultures, identities, and life stages bring into the therapy space. I have particular experience and a fondness for working with clients who are grieving, honoring the tender, often complicated emotions that accompany loss. Regardless of what you are seeking counseling for, I aim to meet you where you are at and work together toward healing, growth and change.

Previously, I have 7+ years experience working in nonprofits serving individuals spanning from high school to college students. I've also worked with those coming out of chronic homelessness. I found my love for hearing people's stories in these spaces. It's what ultimately led me to pursue a career in counseling.

A little bit about me

Outside of the counseling room, I enjoy doing most anything involving quality time and laughter with my friends and family. More often than not you might find me experimenting with new recipes or watching a morning movie. I might even be daydreaming about taking trips or swimming in the nearest body of water.

It would be a privilege to walk with you through the hard seasons, the breakthroughs, and everything in between. You'll find a space in my office to explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences. I look forward to meeting you!
